Microparticle Analysis: Precision at Its Finest

Harnessing the power of Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) microscopy, one can capture the infrared spectrum of any sample segment, boasting an impressive local precision of 5 – 10 µm. This facilitates the in-depth analysis of intricate multi-particle compositions. Moreover, our software streamlines the process by automating both the selection of measurement points and the subsequent data collection, ultimately producing comprehensive distribution statistics for diverse mixtures.

When paired with a focal-plane-array (FPA) detector, vast areas can be simultaneously inspected, achieving an unparalleled spatial precision of up to 0.5 µm. This marks the pinnacle of FTIR spectrometry’s spatial resolution in the industry, positioning our equipment as the go-to choice for microplastic application tasks.

Also, for a refined microparticle study, our SENTERRA II and RamanScope II Raman microscopes stand out. These devices can discern details with a spatial resolution as fine as 1 µm (subject to the diffraction limit) and can process up to 100 spectra per second.
